Have you ever heard about the England trip for students at our school who attend the bilingual classes in Year 9 or 10? Last year, when we were planning the trip, we did not know how the situation with the Brexit would be like. So we planned that this October, we would go to Dublin instead. But you can trust me, it was really cool!
As a group, we visited many interesting sights and also had a lot of free time to explore the city in groups and see places we chose on our own. So we had the chance to get to know the real Dublin. It was also a special experience to stay in the host families. We got acquainted with typical Irish houses, households and lifestyles.
If you decide to go to Dublin I would recommend you to visit Dublin Castle, the Leprechaun Museum and the Southside of the city. Go into all the little shops and you will find many interesting things. I especially liked the Disney Store in Grafton Street or the Candy Lab in Cope Street. I can also recommend Stephen´s Green Shopping Centre. There you can go to Carrolls where you can find souvenirs for your friends and family.
I hope I could give you a few ideas on how you can spend your free time in Dublin so that you are motivated to visit this interesting city.
